Hello, my name is Deb. As most women my age, I have worn many "hats"; Sister, Daughter, Wife, Mother, Friend, Business Owner and now Blogger. I turned 50 last fall and while I had a successful bakery business, I felt that my life had grown stagnant and I had gotten into a rut. Little did I know that a few months later, my business life would be turned upside down and that I would be forced to scale back.
I closed my storefront bakery, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because it has given me the time to follow some of my other passions; travel, beauty, fashion and a healthier lifestyle. The day after we moved out of our storefront, I drove to Dallas for a blogging workshop. Even though I was the oldest woman there, the information was still relevant, and honestly, I didn't care that I was old enough to be everyone's mother. See, I had been looking on the web and Instagram for women bloggers for the 50 plus crowd and was coming up with only a handful of blogs to follow. Most of the blogs I found were from other countries, East Coast, or West Coast, but nothing from a Mid-west point of view.
This brings me to today.....day 1 of my blog about life over 50; fashion, travel, beauty and even a few healthy recipes or meal ideas on occasion. I hope you'll tag along on my journey, so as Samantha said in the first Sex and The City movie, "Here's to the next 50!"
